JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Mechanic, you are responsible for the maintenance, inspections, and repairs of various types of equipment. Your daily tasks include:
- Maintenance and Inspections: You perform maintenance and inspections on both small electrical devices and large machines such as excavators. This involves following maintenance and inspection reports. Inspections for certain machines, such as aerial work platforms and forklifts, are conducted by an external party.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: When a machine at a customer’s location malfunctions or has a breakdown, you initially try to resolve the issue over the phone. If that doesn’t work, you visit the customer to fix the problem on-site. This occurs on average once a week. Additionally, machines regularly return to the branch for repairs.
- Administration and Logistics: In addition to the technical work, you are responsible for maintaining maintenance, inspection, and repair logs. You ensure that the status of the machines and the tasks to be performed are well-documented, and you order parts from suppliers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Technical education at MBO level, preferably in vehicle technology;
- Experience as a mechanic is a plus;
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems;
- Problem-solving mindset;
- Proficiency in Dutch and/or English;
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mentality.
